JEFF OSTER "NEXT"

Born in Danville, Illinois, Jeff began playing trumpet at the age of eight. After years of study in classical and jazz, he moved to L.A. in 1979 to pursue a career full time in music. He honed his live performance skills on the LA club scene, then in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, and Atlantic City. Along the way, he developed an intriguing presence in live performance that has to be seen (and heard) to be fully appreciated. Now living in the San Francisco Bay Area, he continues to play venues locally and around the country.In 2003 Jeff began to create loop based soundscapes using the computer software program Sonic Acid. Uploading his music to MP3.com, his innovative songs topped the ambient charts for months, with tens thousands of downloads and streams worldwide.Soon after, Jeff began working with producer Will Ackerman, Grammy winning guitarist and founder of Windham Hill Records. Together they have recorded two albums, RELEASED and TRUE. Both albums have been voted by broadcasters worldwide as Album of the Year, both have reached #1 on Echoes, the nationally syndicated NPR radio program. Jeff's songs have won Best New Age Song at the 2006 and 2008 Independent Music Awards, and the music continues to receive airplay on XM/Sirius, Music Choice and many other programs worldwide.Contributors to Jeff's recordings have included Bruce Swedien, legendary mixing engineer of Michael Jackson's Thriller, Steely Dan's drummer Keith Carlock, Grammy nominated artists Philip Aaberg, Eugene Friesen, Michael Manring, and many other fine artists. SKALPEL "SIMPLE"

Polish duo Skalpel channeled the influence of their homeland's rich jazz traditions into their own contemporary electronic sound. DJs/producers Marcin Cichy and Igor Pudlo first teamed in Wroclaw, Poland, in 1998. Working in virtual anonymity, Skalpel soon began assembling the first of their Eastern European fusion-inspired cut-and-paste mosaics by sampling classic LPs from artists including Krzysztof Komeda, Tomasz Stanko, and the Novi Sisters, spending months and even years in search of the right sounds to complete each individual track. In 2000 Pudlo interviewed Ninja Tune label artist DJ Vadim for the Polish hip-hop magazine Klan. Soon after, Vadim invited Skalpel to tour Poland with his Russian Percussion ensemble, and after returning to Wroclaw the duo issued their debut CD-R, Polish Jazz. Despite limited distribution, the release was the subject of rapturous acclaim and in 2001 Ninja Tune extended a record deal. Skalpel spent the next three years working on its self-titled debut LP, earning comparison to jazz icons Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock with the end result. Konfusion followed in 2007. SKALPEL
 

ALIFIC "ECHOES FROM THE SOUL"

Il produttore è artista Brendan Dane è l'ala prottetiva, componente degli Alific. Dane ha vissuto a San Diego per sei anni, dove ha suonato in una band reggae locale chiamata Stick Figure. All'inizio del 2011, si  trasferi a Washington dove egli divenne un esponente importante sulla scena sia dell'elettronica che anche del downtempo, momento nella quale il suono reggae-dub e DJ. iniziò ad evolversi. Il risultato recente è un album di base reggae, ma non solo, "Echoes From The Soul" di 14 canzoni, scritto e prodotto da Dane insieme ad un nutrito numero di eccellenti collaboratori, tra cui Scott Woodruff e a seguire Kevin Bong e Frank Mitchell, per la Jr. Thievery Corporation.
