THE DOG TOWN BLUES BAND "EVERYDAY"
RVL music and Richard Lubovitch (aka Loob) are proud to announce the
release of the new CD, by The DogTown Blues Band, Everyday. This new
CD, comprised of 10 tracks, 43:20 in length, is “Loob's” impressions of
his 30 years in Chicago listening to, and playing with, the great
Chicago Blues Masters that he saw throughout his time there, in the
clubs, and during his many years of going to Maxwell Street to hear the
legends of that time. It offers 5 standards and 5 original compositions,
and featured, are the amazing vocals of Barbara Morrison, who'svocal interpretations of Everyday I have The Blues, Easy Baby, Ain't Nobody's
Business and Same Old Blues, are something special to hear. “Having Ms.
Morrison on this project, has allowed us to do original and traditional
arrangements of standards with a DogTown twist, so as to feature her
accomplished vocal interpretations of these songs. Check out Ain't
Nobody's Business, arranged as a late 1950s blues, with a slight stroll
feel, or her complete re-invention of Easy Baby, as sung by a female,
coupled with the emotional joy and pain she brings to Same Old Blues
and the upbeat happiness of Everyday I Have The Blues.
The CD also features Hohner Harmonica Master Bill Barrett, who is
featured throughout, with attention to his fantastic playing on the
original compositions Shrimp Walk and All the Way Down…The two Harmonica
songs on the project. Bill has also added a wonderful vocal track to
Doc's Boogie.
Producer, guitarist Lubovitch gives us a myriad of energetic standards
peppered with five originals, including Boxcar 4468, where he plays
lazily thru the head, building up to a raucous solo section, with
attention to a high energy organ solo by Wayne Peet then Loob and Marcus
Watkins on Slide guitar trading a few choruses. THE DOG TOWN BLUES BAND

ADVENTURES IN BLUESLAND "THE AMERICAN DREAM"
An explosive and dynamic force of musical nature, Adventures in Bluesland
began their journey as an acoustic trio put together in late 2013 by
Phil Gammage (vocals, guitar, harmonica, songwriting) to promote and
support his most recent solo album. Over the next few months new players
were added to the mix and Gammage began to realize that the group had a
remarkable chemistry that was something special. The name the group was
using “Phil Gammage Trio” was dropped and they were soon renamed after
the title of Phil’s solo album Adventures in Bluesland. Soon after that, the group began touring America’s East Coast while garnering significant fan support and critical praise.Adventures in Bluesland’s debut album is The American Dream. It
features eleven songs: nine written by Gammage plus the band’s
renditions of two early 20th century songs, Blind Lemon Jefferson’s “One
Kind Favor” aka “See That My Grave is Kept Clean” and Geeshie Wiley’s
“Last Kind Word Blues.” Since coming together, the group has created a
sound that is built upon taking traditional roots music and playing it
in their own unique style. Their music swings, it rocks, it boogies, and
it conjures ghosts of our country’s past like no other music you’ve
ever heard. It is about exploring what is at the heart of the American
music experience. ADVENTURES IN BLUESLAND

REV. KM WILLIAMS "JUKIN'IN THE HOLY LAND" "LIVE IN ISRAEL"
How many active bluesmen today can claim to stock a homemade, single
string cigar box guitar in their arsenal and play it while wearing a
priest’s collar, all while being backed by a percussionist and washboard
player who prefers to use his hands over drumsticks and spoons? There’s
only one, and his name is Reverend K. M. Williams.Born in 1956 in Clarksville, Williams grew up in Red River County in
Northeast Texas, where he soaked in the sounds of blues and R&B
music broadcast from WLAC radio out of Nashville. Artists like John Lee
Hooker, Blind Willie Johnson, and R. L. Burnside all made strong
impressions on Williams as he was coming up, and one of his first
introductions to guitar came in the early sixties at the hands of an
itinerant blues player believed to be Elmore James. It would be almost
two decades before Williams’ career started to take off, but that long
journey has led him to open shows for legends like the Holmes Brothers,
Little Milton, and Robert Jr. Lockwood, and he shared a bill with Mavis
Staples in Europe, where he has returned three times and performed in
front of thousands. The Reverend is a bona fide ordained minister in the Holiness Church and
has been performing his unique brand of earthy gospel blues regularly
in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area since the nineties. He calls himself the
Texas Country Blues Preacher, and for good reason. I tell people all the
time that gospel music and blues are basically the same. I always said
that with the blues, you’re asking questions about life, or you’re just
expressing how you feel about what you’re going through. And gospel is
the answer to those questions. But it’s still the same feeling. I play
gospel music the same way I play blues—honest and funky, just real. REV.KM WILLIAMS

THE ORIGINAL RABBIT FOOT SPASM BAND "PARTY SEVEN"
THE ORIGINAL RABBIT FOOT SPASM BAND
