Matthew Halsall (nato l'11 settembre 1983 a Manchester, in Inghilterra) è un trombettista, compositore, produttore e DJ nominato a livello mondiale, capofila e uno dei talenti più brillanti del Regno Unito. Dal 2008, Matthew ha pubblicato sette registrazioni in studio acclamate dalla critica ed è stato una figura chiave nell'ascesa di un nuovo suono jazz nel Regno Unito.I suoi album hanno conquistato una legione di fan in tutto il mondo e acclamato da artisti del calibro di Gilles Peterson, Jamie Cullum, Mr Scruff, Late Junction di Radio 3, MOJO, BBC Music Magazine e BBC 6 Music. 'On The Go' è stato il vincitore del miglior LP jazz ai Gilles Peterson's Worldwide Awards 2011.Halsall è anche il fondatore della Gondwana Records, un'etichetta discografica indipendente di genere che presenta una ricchezza che definisce album di artisti del calibro di Portico Quartet, GoGo Penguin, Hania Rani e Mammal Hands.
